====== Groups ======
  * Different sequence elements may be combined to create a Group.  This is a single functional unit that can be moved as if it were a single element, whilst retaining information about the component parts.
  * A Group can be created by
    * Selecting two or more adjacent icons in the [[ui:navigation_pane | Navigation Pane]] or the [[ui:workspace_pane | Workspace Pane]]
  * A group can be a mixture of different types of elements
    * Examples of elements that may be helpful to group include
      * a promoter, an operator and a ribosome binding site
      * a protease cleavage site and an affinity tag
      * an antibiotic resistance gene and an origin of replication
    * Groups are visualized by sequence elements that are encompassed by a bracket, both in the hierarchical tree (label) and the icon view.
