An element may be split into two or three elements by selecting a portion of the sequence of the final construct at the top of the sequence display in Sequence View and
Select the sequence to edit by highlighting a portion of the sequence of the final construct at the top of the sequence display, (label in screenshot 3).
Right click “edit sequence”, or select “edit sequence” from the “edit” menu
The sequence of the element appears in an editing window, with the highlighted sequence editable
Click “done” to incorporate changes into the element.
The name of the element will be modified to indicate that it has been edited.
